Top Ten Tuesday (57)

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created here at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!

Each week we will post a new Top Ten list  that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers. (Meme description taken from The Broke and the Bookish)

1. Black Pearls: A Faerie Strand by Louise Hawes and Rebecca Guay- This one wouldn't call so much for a sequel, but a continuation. I adored Hawes' fairytale adaptations and Rebecca Guay's illustrations. I would love to see what she could do with other fairytales I love, like East of the Sun and West of the Moon.

2. School Spirits by Rachel Hawkins- I want a sequel! I want more Dex! I'd love to know where the series is heading. I want to meet Izzy's Sister.

3. Amy and Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson- I'm so torn on this! I liked how the book ended but I would have enjoyed a tiny bit more. I don't know, maybe a flash of where Amy and Roger were a few months down the line (aside from the receipt).

4. In Honor by Jessi Kirby- The same problem from Amy and Roger exists for In Honor. I wanted to see how Rusty and Honor dealt with their grief, together or separately. I wanted to know where they ended up.

5. Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater- I need the closure! I want Grace to have her white summer dress and red coffee pot and Sam to make a million more paper cranes and write a billion more songs. I want Isabel and Cole to call each other up some time and go on a date. I want it all! Sometimes it's sad to only have my imagination... and fan-fiction.

6. Something Like Normal by Trish Doller- Again, I'd be happy with a glimpse of where Harper and Travis are a few years or months later. Everything doesn't have to be fixed for Travis. I wouldn't necessarily want it to be. I'd like a bit extra.

7. This Song Will Save Your Life by Leila Sales- Yup, you might have guessed. I want more closure. I'd like to know if Elise was ever able to move past the bullying she experienced. Did she become one of the hottest DJs in the world? Did Vicky make it big? Was she able to find love?

8. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins- I think my heart and brain would EXPLODE if I could see all of the big moments in Anna and Etienne's life. Their engagement, their wedding, if they had children or got a pet. I love them so much

9. Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins- Yeah, same problem as Anna. If I could at least have their engagement or their wedding I would scream in joy.

Happy Reading,

  1. Cool list! I haven't read any of these yet but I plan to they're on my tablet just waiting to be read.

    Check out My Top Ten

I'm also now following you, love the blog design! :)

  2. Great picks. amy & roger are on mine too! I loved Anna so much and definitely wanted more. I think that was part of the reason I felt so let down by Lola. I couldn't even finish that one :( I have This Song now and I have seen a couple of people talk about the lack of closure...now I am worried to start it! Thanks for sharing! http://wp.me/pzUn5-1BN

  3. Hahahaha I love the statement about only having your imagination or fanfiction. That's totally how I deal with needing to know things!

  4. Oh, I am SO with you on This Song Will Save Your Life! It made my list as well. I would just like more Vicky because, holy cow, she was AWESOME:) Ditto for Something Like Normal. Loved Travis and Harper:)
