Fan Letter Friday (25)

This is fan letter friday. All the time I see nice, special, kind and good authors on twitter, facebook, their own blog, etc. that I make friends with or follow on accident and I adore them. I like them as more than authors. I like them as people. So, I decided, since I don't have time to review every single book these people have written, I'm going to write to them. I am going to flaunt my love for them all over the internet and hopefully brighten their day. I am going to sound, insane, rambly and possibly like a stalker, but that's just part of the fun right?

Dear Rachel Hawkins, (author of the Hex Hall series and Rebel Belle)

I read Hex Hall almost exactly a year ago now. I remember starting it on my vacation and not being able to put it down for an entire day. I loved Sophie so, so much. There was this awesome mix of girly lightness and ass kickery. I'm hitting myself over the head as we speak for not reading Demonglass... yet. I did however get my best friend addicted to the series, she loves Archer to a ridiculous degree.

Recently, one of the authors I followed, tweeted at you and I decided out of the blue to follow you. Now, I'm kind of wondering why I never saw you on twitter before. The reason being, you make me crack up like, I can't even explain. The #heissmoothlikeken tag made me laugh uncontrollably in the middle of the library. Seeing you talk about Breaking Dawn and Immortals also made me lose it. I now actively search for your tweets on my twitter because they never fail to make me (at least) smile. I had to sit down and hold my stomach when you tweeted about walking up to death and kicking him in the balls, I was laughing that hard.

I can't wait to read Rebel Belle, I know it will be hilarious and awesome with your sense of humor. I wish I had more to say, really. I feel like I should say something memorable and entertaining, to pay back all of your twitter hilarity. Instead, I'm going to take the melodramatic route and say you're a funny, intelligent and everyone should love you or at least follow your twitter feed. I think the world would be a much more mellow place if we could all sit back and laugh about "vampire baby love love" because that was brilliant.

Now I'm going to leave you to being your awesome self. :)

P.s. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease get back on tumblr when you have time. I love reading all of your posts.

Love,
