Fan Letter Friday (23)

This is fan letter friday. All the time I see nice, special, kind and good authors on twitter, facebook, their own blog, etc. that I make friends with or follow on accident and I adore them. I like them as more than authors. I like them as people. So, I decided, since I don't have time to review every single book these people have written, I'm going to write to them. I am going to flaunt my love for them all over the internet and hopefully brighten their day. I am going to sound, insane, rambly and possibly like a stalker, but that's just part of the fun right?

Dear @EgmontUSA (Assistant Editor Alison Weiss),

I'm kind of a total fangirl for your twitter. Actually, I'm kind of a total fangirl for Egmont, which is why I started following you, but after reading a zillion of your tweets I kind of love you too. I am insanely jealous of your job, and all of the awesome books you get to read. I would do almost anything to work at a publishing house. It's a huge dream of mine.

At the risk of sounding extremely obsessed, you inspire me. When you let people ask you questions and encourage discussions, I feel like you really care what your followers have to say. Tweeting on an account that's a face for your company has to be a little nerve wracking, but I think you're amazing at it. You make me work harder every time you re-tweet someone's reviews. I think "If I work on making my reviews better, maybe I'll become good enough for her to read my review." You also keep me going when I get discouraged about blogging. Your enthusiasm over each release and affection for every author you talk to keeps me blogging and talking about books.

I wish I had more to say, really you are such a awesome person to talk to. (I know from all of the twitter conversations I "eavesdropped" on.) I really hope I get to met you one day, even just to talk to you, that'd be amazing. Now creepy fan will creep back into the shadows. I hope you have a lovely book-filled day. :)

Happy Reading,
