Fan Letter Friday (21)

This is fan letter friday. All the time I see nice, special, kind and good authors on twitter, facebook, their own blog, etc. that I make friends with or follow on accident and I adore them. I like them as more than authors. I like them as people. So, I decided, since I don't have time to review every single book these people have written, I'm going to write to them. I am going to flaunt my love for them all over the internet and hopefully brighten their day. I am going to sound, insane, rambly and possibly like a stalker, but that's just part of the fun right?

Dear Richelle Mead, (Author of Vampire Academy series, The Georgina Kincaid and the Dark Swan series)

I love you. Seriously, I love you like a fat kid loves cake. You most likely hear this all the time, but I love the Vampire Academy series and I really, really like the Georgina Kincaid series. I recently started re-reading VA for reasons that will be explained later. I cannot believe I stopped reading it! Going through the book again was like coming home. I missed Rose so much and I didn't even know it. Now reading the series again is one of my absolute favorite things to do.

So, the reason I am now re reading the series is because I never finished it the first time around. That is because I hold you responsible for the Shadowkiss mental breakdown. I cried like all of my pets, friends and family had died, violently. It was like I had been punched in the gut by Iron Man. I kind of vowed to never, ever, ever read any more of the series since I pretty much holed up in my room and cried for 2 days after Shadowkiss ended. I couldn't even look at a Louis L'Amour book. I really only started re-reading the books because 1) a movie is supposed to be in the works and 2) when Bloodlines came out, EW called it Chuck and Blair (Gossip Girl) in fangs. The description made me laugh way harder than it should. Anyway, that is the probably completely non-interesting reason I stopped and restated the VA series.

Congratulations on becoming a new mom! It must have been... difficult to write three books while pregnant. I'm just worried that I'll be reading Golden Lily and in the middle of some dramatic sentence they'll be like the word ice cream because you had a craving for it. I hope you have a good and non colicky baby. One that will (occasionally) let you sleep all the way through the night.

Do you like The Walking Dead? I'm kind of sort of extremely obsessed with that show. It's so good! Which is weird since you'd think a show based on a graphic novel that's about zombies wouldn't be that addictive but I was completely wrong. (Admittedly I do kind of make fun of some of the stupid decisions, like sitting in a metal chair on top of an RV with an umbrella in the middle of a thunder and lightning storm. Mmm BBQ human.)

Speaking of graphic novels, I really like the new VA one. The art isn't really my style but I still appreciate how good it is!

Now I will stop taking up your valuable time with my random fangirling. I hope you have a good day!
