Fan Letter Friday (20)

This is fan letter friday. All the time I see nice, special, kind and good authors on twitter, facebook, their own blog, etc. that I make friends with or follow on accident and I adore them. I like them as more than authors. I like them as people. So, I decided, since I don't have time to review every single book these people have written, I'm going to write to them. I am going to flaunt my love for them all over the internet and hopefully brighten their day. I am going to sound, insane, rambly and possibly like a stalker, but that's just part of the fun right?

Dear Erin Morgenstern, (Author of The Night Circus)

I really liked reading The Night Circus. It took me almost 2 weeks to get through it though! I loved reading about all of the tents. I wish there was a real night circus so I could go and be totally amazed by it. My favorite, and wow, there were so many, was the wishing tree tent. There was something so secretive, pure and good about that tent. I have a feeling I'd spend hours in there, wondering what other people's wishes were.

Looking at your tour schedule, it looks like The Night Circus is certainly taking off! It seems like you'll barely be home for weeks. It must be thrilling to go so many new places and meet your fans. (Which reminds me, I really have to work on getting you to Florida...) I wonder, does it ever feel overwhelming? Seeing people who've gathered in places just for you, because they read or plan on reading you book. It must feel like a dream. :)

I'm so sorry you were sick for The Southern Book Festival and were out of the country at the time! I was kind of sad that my family couldn't get my books signed, but there's always a next time. Plus, you're health is what's really important.

By the way, as cool as Herr Thiessen's twitter is, it's a little creepy to see his tweets sometimes. I love playing the online game for The Night Circus! It's so fun to go into all of the tents. Thought it is a little frustrating to want to do something, like pet the cats at the big cats show but the choice is locked. I've met Celia in the game and become a reveur! I think I've wasted more than a few hours playing that game.

In short I just really want to recognize how amazing and beautiful your writing is. Seriously, I would kill to live in the magical fall-ish setting you've made. It's just so wonderful. I needed for you to know that.

Hope I didn't sound too much like a loon! :)

Sincerely,
