Fan Letter Friday (12)

This is fan letter friday. All the time I see nice, special, kind and good authors on twitter, facebook, their own blog, etc. that I make friends with or follow on accident and I adore them. I like them as more than authors. I like them as people. So, I decided, since I don't have time to review every single book these people have written, I'm going to write to them. I am going to flaunt my love for them all over the internet and hopefully brighten their day. I am going to sound, insane, rambly and possibly like a stalker, but that's just part of the fun right?

Dear Kiersten White, (Author of Paranormalcy, Supernaturally and Endlessly)

Congratu-bleeping-lations on landing a movie deal for Paranormalcy! It will be so exciting to see Evie doing her thing up on screen with tasey! (Now I just need to get Stephanie Perkins a movie deal for Anna and my life will be COMPLETE.)

I have not gotten my hands on a copy of Supernaturally yet and I'm still quite surly about it. Darn libraries and their "copy on order" sign. (I love libraries but waiting for books is sort of like torture you know?)

I loved it when you were youtube moderator for HarperTeen's channel. It was so great. "Going to the library" has never been so funny. The maniacal look on your face as you first turned on tasey in front of the camera was amazing. Strangely, you make me want to play with deadly weapons like pink knives and tasers.

Hey, remember that time you wrote a book in little over a week and all of your blog readers thought you'd collapse from exhaustion? Yeah that was fun and not so fun too. I mean writing a book in nine days is bleeping amazing no matter how you look at it. However I think everyone was worried about your sanity and health for a while after that.

I'm also not sure if you can really claim the title of most awkward hugs. I mean that Lord Voldemort pretty much has the awkward hug market cornered. Maybe there can be a measure of awkward hugging, like on a scale of one to Kiersten White, to Simon from Misfits to Voldemort, just how awkward did the hug get?

I wish I had a bit more to say to you. I mean your blog posts make me laugh so much it feels like I should return the favor. Oh! I know, you give the most wonderful book recommendations! I'm practically drooling over Daughter of Smoke and Bone and your blog post got me to buy Anna and the French Kiss almost the day it came out. Keep recomending books and fangirling over them, it will make me so happy. We can be reading buddies forever and ever and ever and ever (and this letter just got a bit freaky didn't it?)

I hope you have a wonderful day with Stephanie Perkins, your husband and children. :)

Love,
