Fan Letter Friday (6) Triple Edition!

This is fan letter friday. All the time I see nice, special, kind and good authors on twitter, facebook, their own blog, etc. that I make friends with or follow on accident and I adore them. I like them as more than authors. I like them as people. So, I decided, since I don't have time to review every single book these people have written, I'm going to write to them. I am going to flaunt my love for them all over the internet and hopefully brighten their day. I am going to sound, insane, rambly and possibly like a stalker, but that's just part of the fun right?

(I am so sorry for not doing these for a couple of weeks. My Fridays have been full, but now I'm hopefully going to be back on schedule.)

Dear Ilona (and Gordon) Andrews, (Magic Bites series, The Edge series)

I'm kind of nervous writing this fan letter to both of you. It's a little intimidating. Mainly because I feel like one of those kids on the edge of the playground wanting to join in with the cool kids, but doesn't know what to say to be able to hang out with said cool kids. Believe it or not, you all are very awesome and popular.

At the risk of sounding stalkerish, I think you two are my favorite married couple. (I really wish that phrase didn't sound as creepy and loaded on Prozac as it did.) You're not like one of those scary everything is perfect, we are so in love spouses. And you're not one of the ones that constantly complains about every single thing their husband or wife does. You're at a place where it's obvious you love and depend on each other, but you still have fights and little things still get on your nerves. It makes me very happy, I just really like it when people are able to be themselves because they know, no matter what, their "significant other" will still love them. It's really nice when I see a glimpse of it leaked over into your characters. (Also, please excuse me for talking about you relationship like it's a fandom couple.)

I love your blog posts. It's great that both of you can vent on there, or just be silly. I think I've developed a secret obsession with dobermans after reading about Del so much. Sophie is adorable and Angus always makes me laugh. (Though I am sorry he shredded your checks.)

Though writing novels is a huge and spectacular headache for you both, which I do not envy, I am so grateful you write books. My mom and I read them together. (She loves Aunt B and Andrea.) Your books have given us a lot to talk about and bond over. I'm so thankful for that. About a year ago my sister was in the hospital for some surprise health issues. My mom went with her, extremely stressed and worried. She took the 3rd Magic Bites book with her and ended up laughing until her stomach hurt in the waiting room. I so happy she was able to laugh, even in that situation.

Also, thank you Gordon for allowing me to interview you and Ilona for a college paper a few months ago. (In spite of a very busy schedule.)  It really helped me and was very sweet. :)

P.S. I love your new commissioned chibis! They're so cute.
