When you can see things others can't, where do you look for the truth?

This paranormal murder mystery will have teens reading on the edge of their seats.

Clarity "Clare" Fern sees things. Things no one else can see. Things like stolen kisses and long-buried secrets. All she has to do is touch a certain object, and the visions come to her. It's a gift.

And a curse.

When a teenage girl is found murdered, Clare's ex-boyfriend wants her to help solve the case--but Clare is still furious at the cheating jerk. Then Clare's brother--who has supernatural gifts of his own--becomes the prime suspect, and Clare can no longer look away. Teaming up with Gabriel, the smoldering son of the new detective, Clare must venture into the depths of fear, revenge, and lust in order to track the killer. But will her sight fail her just when she needs it most?

Three posts in one day? The apocalypse must be coming. :)

I don't think I can properly describe how much I loved Clarity. Kim Harrington is the author I want to be when I grow up. Clarity was a spine tingling mystery which kept me guessing to the end and had one of the most loving family dynamics I've read.

I could not get enough of the relationships in this book. Every single person had a connection with someone else, which is bound to happen in a small town. However, Harrington took it one step further by making me care about all of her characters. That never happens! I could empathize with and like almost every single character. There were only 2 people I didn't like and frankly those witches had it coming. Hell, I even liked the murderer before I learned who it was.

I did not see who the murder was. I was nearly blind-sided by the person's confession. The book had me speculating and paranoid about who the murderer was practically from the first page. By the end I had suspected almost everyone and dismissed them all (mainly because I liked them) and I was still wrong when I settled on who it was! This is a totally new experience for me, because I can usually guess within the first 10 minutes of a crime drama or novel who the killer is. Being able to actually be surprised for once was so awesome, so props to Kim Harrington for an intriguing mystery.

The boys. What can I say about the boys? Both equally delicious, sensitive and full of steamy chemistry with Clare. It was nearly impossible to choose between the two. Gabriel Toscano was a new, sexy piece of male specimen and Justin was willing to do anything for and was so in love with Clare. Eventually I was able to pick one, and I so hope it was the right guy!  I can not wait for the second book Perception to hit the shelves. It's going to be awful to have to wait till next year.

I liked how Harrington portrayed the Fern Family's powers. Their gifts weren't exaggerated or the main focus of the book. Perry, Starla and Clare were all normal people who happened to be able to do some extraordinary things from talking to the dead, to reading minds to getting visions of the past from touching objects. They were so much more relate-able when they're gifts were pushed to the sidelines. It made me like them even more. Although Clare's ability was pretty stinking cool. :)

I don't think I've ever been so pleasantly surprised and happy to read a book I've wanted for so long. It was exactly what I had wanted/hoped it would be and more. It was so worth the wait! Clarity totally lives up to every single good review and flash of hype it gets. Go! Beg, borrow, buy or kidnap this book it is made of awesome!
