Gallies Galore!

I promise I'll get back to reviewing soon guys, but this just had to be a post. In a feature called Dear Story Siren on The Story Siren a book reviewer asked about how they could get advanced reader copies because they couldn't afford constantly buying new books. The Story Siren suggested writing to publishers and asking, or registering for this site called NetGalley.

On NetGalley any type of professional writer, reviewer, blogger, librarian etc. can request advance copies of books to read either on their computer or Kindle. People are not required to review the books, however it's kind of the point, to get the word out. But, because I am me, I figured "I'll be lucky if they let me have even one, I'm so unpopular. So, I'll request all the ones I want in order to have some chance at one of them." I requested 15 books total.

I've gotten 9 so far.

I've only been turned down for 1 and I haven't been contacted about the rest. This absolutely blows my mind. I NEVER thought I would be able to even look at an arc, online or otherwise. So, being able to read these books is BIG for me. Because of this, I thought I'd do a shout-out post thanking everyone involved for allowing me this opportunity.

Thank you Unsure and Broke for asking about ARCS!

THANK YOU Story Siren who told me and everyone who reads her blog about NetGalley.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Candlewick Press for letting me read Angel Burn and A Long, Long Sleep. Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for allowing me to read The Vespertine, Lost Voices, The Betrayal of Maggie Blair, and Always a Witch. And Finally, Harlequin for giving me the chance to read The Guy Next Door, Already Home and Outside In.

Also, Thank You NetGalley for being in existence!

All you publishers and reviewers are awesome and I love you all! Smiley faces, happy thoughts, rainbows, cookies and unicorns for you all! :D

Enough sappiness now though, I must get back to reading!

Happy Reading,
